Freedom Always Has A Price

The smell of sulfur has yet to weaken from lighting up fireworks in my driveway.  I got to blow things up for fun tonight.  Thanks to our fore fathers sacrificing themselves and their sons with real rockets and flames, I get to play with my son out in the open with silly, noisy, flashes of neighborhood glory.  I was even criticized by someone in Australia on twitter for mentioning the blessing because I guess he saw it as Americans still wander the earth blowing up whatever they want.  And yet, on our 233rd birthday, it wasn’t our bomb, but that of another hard-hearted terrorist that exploded earlier that day.  And his bomb took two lives: American lives.

Thank You Aaron, for taking part in an extraordinary mission that hopes to bring freedom to mothers and sons of repressed and oppressed nations such as Afghanistan.  One day Afghan women will praise and honor you for giving your brave American life for their children’s sake.
